  8.     Welcome to the M A X'sBBS Demo. If you are just a BBS or a real sysop,
  9. this file is definatly worth taking a look at. M A X'sBBS is the most
  10. powerful and comprehsive BBS Package available for the Amiga. Infact, it
  11. puts 99.9% of the IBM BBS Packages to SHAME. It features:

  13.     -     FULL Fidonet capabilities. It uses a unique way of setting up points
  14.         etc. It is powerful enough to be a hub to upto 200 different nodes.

  16.     -    MultiNode - M A X'sBBS Can support an unlimited amount of nodes
  17.         running at the same time.
  18.  
  19.     -    Full ANSI support - M A X'sBBS is capably of displaying almost
  20.         every ANSI code in the standard. You only need one menu set for
  21.         both ANSI and non-ANSI users - ANSI codes, are automatically
  22.         filtered out "on-the-fly" by M A X'sBBS if the user doesn't want
  23.         them.

  25.     -    M A X'sBBS Supports THE FASTEST Text routines around. It clearly
  26.         outruns anything else.

  28.     -    M A X'sBBS supports the 6 major protocols including the latest and
  29.         the most complete implementation of the Zmodem protocol. It uses
  30.         it's own built-in routines for super-quick transfers.

  32.     -    M A X'sBBS has a FULLY menu driven sysop interface. Everything is
  33.         done via mouse, menus, gadgets and windows. The BBS has 1 config
  34.         file that does EVERYTHING! When you get the demo, just run it! No
  35.         setting up needed at all. Everything concerning the BBS is
  36.         configured via the mouse and windows - The Amiga Intuition
  37.         interface. There are 10 windows, each configuring seperate parts of
  38.         the BBS:

  51.         M A X'sBBS Also features a complete intuition file editor and user
  52.         editor which use file requesters for quick and easy maintnence.

  54.     -    M A X'BBS features Sysop programmable Macros. The f1-10 and F1-10
  55.         keys can be programmed to do anything (including log you on). They
  56.         can even send an ASCII textfile!

  58.     -    Every single string that the BBS displays can be changed via the
  59.         Text Editor Window. Textfiles can even be displayed from within a
  60.         text line!

  62.     -    55 special charcters can be inserted ANYWHERE within the BBS. Ie:

  64.         Your name is %f in a textline, menu or ANYWHERE would turn out as:

  66.         Your name is M A X (Or whatever the user logged on as)

  68.         There are even special control codes to pause a page or log a user
  69.         off.

  71.     -    The BBS can be fully iconified into a small window on the WB
  72.         screen. The window displays the node number, the user who is
  73.         currently online, and the current menu function being used.

  75.     -    M A X'sBBS menus are simply textfiles, the actually commands are
  76.         configured via a pull down menu in the main program. As usual, the
  77.         textfile can say ANYTHING.

  79.     -    M A X'sBBS can run and supports paragon doors - A popular type of
  80.            Door protocol that was origionally developed for Paragon BBS
  81.         (lame), but is now extensively used in other BBS packages.

  83.         M A X'sBBS also has an "extended" door port for much more power
  84.         (That Paragon's specifications LACKED - suprise suprise). There at
  85.         least 15 utilties already written for M A X'sBBS. Including
  86.         Split-screen chat etc.
